James Blickhan Jr.

James P. Blickhan, Jr., 88, passed away August 15, 2020. Private Mass of Christian Burial was held at Holy Spirit Church, Overland Park, KS. Interment was at Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Judes Childrens Hospital.
Jim was born in1932 in Kansas City, MO to James P. Sr. and Margaret Blickhan.
Jim is survived by his Son, Jim Blickhan and wife Jinny; grandsons, Alex Blickhan and wife Anna and Brad Blickhan; brother, Bob Blickhan his wife Chris; sisters, Janice Orrick and Kathy Dwyer and husband John; his brothers in law Bill Burnett and Frank Ordonio; his good friend Suzanne Hart; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Marceline B. Blickhan; his parents, and a sister, Marge Ordonio.
Jim was a graduate of Bishop Hogan High School and received his bachelors of science degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Kansas.
He served his country as an officer in the United States Navy where he obtained the rank of Lieutenant Commander.
He worked for Bill Fagan Inc., U.S. Engineering and Energy Masters over his career.
Jim was a devout catholic and his family was one of the founding families of Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
He touched the lives of so many with his kindness and generosity. He will be greatly missed.
