Herbert R. Letzig

Herbert R. Letzig passed away May 14, 2023. He was born September 24, 1937. He graduated from the University of Missouri and served several years in the Army Reserve before working at Western Electric/AT&T. He enjoyed traveling, bowling, sports and participating in numerous St. Regis Committees. He was a member of the Pioneers Club and Knight of Columbus.

He is preceded in death by his parents Herbert and Olivia Letzig, his first wife Marilyn Letzig, third wife Jeanne Tackett-Letzig, sister-in-law Sue Letzig and his step-sons John and Bob Tackett.

Herb is survived by his four children Patty McGregor (Scott), Michael Letzig, Michelle Powell (Patrick), and Steve Letzig (Ingrid), his brother Larry Letzig, his step-sons Jim (Robin) and David Tackett (Sue), his nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

With Herb spending so much of life taking care of others, his family thanks the John Knox Village staff who looked after him after all these years. Visitation will be at St. Regis Catholic Church, 8941 James A Reed Rd.,. from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. and the funeral Mass starting at 11:30 a.m.
