Harriet K. Woods

Harriet K. Woods, 98, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away, May, 24, 2021 in Overland Park, KS. Visitation will be held at Muehlebach Funeral Care on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 from 10:30 11:30 am. Graveside services will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital and/or Crossroads Hospice.
Harriet was born on September 25, 1922 to Arthur and Gertrude (Janner) Kumro. She graduated from Center High School and attended post-secondary training at the old General Hospital in Kansas City to become a radiology technician. She enjoyed a long career working for a private practice of prominent neurosurgeons in Kansas City.
Harriet was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joe; sisters, Rose Kumro and Marguerite Searcy and her brother Arthur Kumro. She is survived by her daughters, Karen (Lenny) Gish and Cindy (Gary) Fahrmeier; sons, Robert (Christa) Goodson and James (Donna) Woods; 6 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family would like to especially thank Sophie and Makayla, as well as Cole and all the nurses, aides and staff at Crossroads Hospice. You walked with us through a difficult journey. The comfort and care you extended to Harriet meant so much.
