He known as "Yogi" by his co-workers at the Railroad Yard. Lupe was a third generation Railroad employee with some 40 years of service. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.He formally resided on Wabash Avenue in Kansas City. Lupe and his wife, Mary, always opened their home to friends and family. Mary wore out several stoves from cooking. Of course, the meals were always Mexican Food topped off by her famous flour tortillas. They enjoyed going to church and expressed their love for God and for one another. Lupe and Mary were both a blessing to many people.Lupe provided transportation to many people who could not afford a vehicle. He would take them and pick them up from work. This earned him the name "Taxi Man."It's appropriate to mention that in the last years working, he was stationed in the Round House of the Railroad Department. This is where the trains would come in and be adjusted to a new track and sent back out. Lupe loved what he did and was a dedicated employee for many years.
