Gregory James Melenson

Gregory James Melenson, 68, died on June 25, 2023.  Greg was born on July 20, 1954, in Kansas City, Missouri to Oliver E. and Dorothy (Denk) Melenson.  Greg was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Mark Vermillion.  Greg is survived by his Life Partner of 25 years, Laura Holt.  He is also survived by his daughter, Kimberly McNary (Matt) and grandchildren, Logan and Josephine and Laura’s daughter, Leslie (Gregg) Atkins, and grandchildren, Bailey, Drew, Reagan and Brylee.  He leaves his sisters; Linda (Joe) Anderson, Donna Vermillion, Cindy (Ron) Adams, Mary (Rick) Brown and brothers; Ron Melenson and Terry (Susan) Melenson.  Greg leaves many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.  Nikki (Todd) Luginbill and children, Austin, Ethan, and Hailey; Carl Anderson Jr. and children, Carl III and Piper; Justin (Larissa) Vermillion and child, Brody; Katie (Patrick) Smith and children, Lilliana and Kellan; Michael (Elizabeth) Vermillion and children, Gabriella, Jackson and Eleanora; Alan Brown, Brad Brown and Stefanie Brown; and Eric Melenson.  Mass will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church, 8510 Wornall Road, Kansas City, MO 64114 on Wednesday, June 28, 2023.  Visitation will be at 9:00 a.m., Rosary at 9:30 a.m. followed immediately by Mass of Christian Burial.  Burial will take place after Mass at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
