Gloria Stegmaier Sikora

Gloria Stegmaier Sikora, 94, of Olathe, KS, passed away on November 4, 2018. Visitation will be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. with the Rosary prayed at 7 p.m. on Wed., Nov. 7th at Muehlebach Funeral Care, 6800 Troost Ave., KCMO 64131. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Thurs., Nov. 8th at Cure of Ars Catholic Church, 9401 Mission Rd., Leawood, KS 66206. Burial immediately following at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.Gloria was born on July 31, 1924 in Forest City, MO to her parents, Patrick and Sara (Pottinger) Stegmaier. Gloria graduated from Westport High School and went on to pursue her creative talents at the Kansas City Art Institute. She taught art classes at Johnson County Community College for many years, even later moving the classes into her own home. Gloria was a very talented artist, particularly painting, where she was known for her exquisite fine China dinnerware designs. Gloria is preceded in death by her daughter, Jacki Corrigan, and husband, Joseph J. Sikora. She is dearly missed and survived by her daughter, Mary Sikora George (Dennis); sons, Joe Sikora and Frank Sikora; eight grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; and her sister, Bettie Carpenter.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to the Alzheimers Association. The family gives a special thank you to all of the caregivers throughout Glorias life.
