Geraldine Jackson

Geraldine C. Jackson 92 passed away at the Britt Hospital in Britt, IA while under hospice care on July 9, 2018. She had moved from Gravois Mills, MO to assisted living in Britt two years ago. Gerry was the daughter of Roy and Goldie (Sobek) Jackson and was born July 10, 1925 at the home of her grandparents Ferdinand and Caroline (Tusa) Sobek of Gann Valley, SD.
Gerry was preceded in death by her parents and infant brother, Ray, and leaves behind friends and many cousins of which she was the eldest.
Gerry retired from the Department of Agriculture in Kansas City, MO in 1980 and moved to Gravois Mills, MO to live the next 36 years at the Lake of the Ozarks. She loved the water and her boats and spent many enjoyable days entertaining the family and friends at her home. Gerry was always ready to take you for a boat ride or water skiing. She enjoyed taking pictures of family and friends. Gerry also enjoyed traveling and it seemed like she was always off to some place.
Gerry was a member of the First Baptist Church of Laurie, MO.
Services will be held at the Muehlebach Funeral Home, 6800 Troost Ave, Kansas City, MO, July 14, 2018 at 11:00am. Visitation for friends and family will be 10:00 to 11:00 at the funeral home prior to the services. Interment will be in the Lees Summit Cemetery, 806 SE 3rd St, Lees Summit, MO 64063. Family suggests that in lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Gerrys name to Hospice of North Iowa, 232 2nd St. SE, Mason City, IA 50401.
