George J. Dusselier

George J. Dusselier, 93, of Kansas City, MO, passed away on October 31, 2018. All services will be held at Our Lady of the Presentation Catholic Church, 130 NW Murray Rd., Lees Summit, MO on Monday, November 5th. The Rosary will be prayed at 9:15 a.m., Visitation at 9:30 a.m., with Mass following at 10:30. Burial held immediately after Mass at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. George was born on August 11, 1925 in Kansas City, MO, to Belgium immigrant parents, Victor and Eugenia (Soetaert) Dusselier. He was one of 11 children, having five sisters and five brothers. He graduated from De La Salle High School in 1943, where he was a star athlete. It was also in Kansas City that he met and married Audrey DeVrieze. George started a concrete foundation building business and was a partner in Dusselier Brothers Ready-Mix Concrete Co.Gardening, fishing, and hunting were some of Georges favorite activities. Above all, George was a family-man. He loved his family dearly, and he always enjoyed having get-togethers and spending time with everyone. George will be extremely missed by his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, and all ten of his siblings: Sr. Mary Gregory, Frank Dusselier, Louis Dusselier, Mary Van Keirsbilck, Elizabeth Kolomitz, Charles Dusselier, Agnes Groff, Henry Dusselier, Florence Burke, and Robert Dusselier. George is survived by his wife of 64 years, Audrey Dusselier; son, Mike Dusselier (Lisa); son, Tim Dusselier (Michele); daughter, Julie Mouganis (Mike); daughter, Michelle Dusselier (Spencer King); son, Larry Dusselier; daughter, Danielle Dusselier (Pete Kenney); grandchildren, Sean and Alexa Dusselier, Jake and Maddy Dusselier, Niki Mouganis, and Lucy Visser; as well as many other beloved family and friends.The family would like to express their thanks to Jimmy Skinner.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may go to Our Lady of the Presentation Catholic Church.
