Eugene Lee Shelton

Eugene "Gene" L. Shelton, 87, formerly of Kansas City, Missouri and had retired to Bailey, Colorado passed away on November 18, 2021. He was born May 28, 1934 to Marion Shelton and Dorothy (Currie) Shelton.
Gene enlisted in the Marine Corp. on September 26, 1943. In 1957, Gene married Stella (Ciszek) Shelton and had two children, Randy and Roseann. He retired as a mechanic from USPS. He lived most of his life in KCMO but once retired, he moved to Colorado where he spent his free time bowling in multiple leagues each week, as well as golfing when weather permitted.
He is preceded in death by his wife Stella in 2007, siblings Jay (Beatrice) Shelton, and Leon (Zee) Shelton. Eugene is survived by his children Randy (Jean) Shelton, Roseann Morris, three grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
A Prayer Service will be held at Muehlebach Funeral Care, 6800 Troost Avenue, Kansas City, MO 64131, on March 5th, 2022 at 11:00 am, followed by an inurnment at Memorial Park Cemetery, 8251 Hillcrest Rd, Kansas City, MO 64138.
