Elsie Matilda Sylvia (Van Hoecke) Litle, 94 years young, of Collegeville, PA, passed away on April 6, 2018.All funeral services will be held at St. Bernadette Parish, 9020 E. 51st Terr., KCMO 64133 on Thursday, April 12th with Visitation at 9:00 AM and Mass of Christian Burial officiated by Fr. Holloway at 10:00 AM. Burial following at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Elsie was born in Kansas City on October 9, 1923, to John and Augusta Van Hoecke, the eldest daughter of 7 siblings. She grew up in the East Bottoms and enjoyed the first 92 years of her life in Kansas City. She moved to Pennsylvania in 2016 to be closer to her son and grandchildren.Elsie worked as an assembler of electronic components for the airline industry, first with Wilcox Electric and up to retirement with Butler National Corporation. She enjoyed flowers and gardening and was active in her church.Elsie is survived by her two brothers, Albert and Joseph Van Hoecke; son, Larry Litle; granddaughters, Breanna, Julia, Erica and Emma; great granddaughter, Olivia; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and their children in Kansas City and across the country, in addition to her friends from work and church. She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Mary; and brothers, Remy, Henry and Cyril.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Shepherds Center of Raytown (https://shepherdscenterofraytown.org), 5110 Westridge Cir., Raytown, MO 64133.
