Ellen Catherine Kneib, Rn

Ellen Kneib passed away January 6, 2018. She was born November 13, 1923 in Hemple, MO to James Edward Kneib and Mary Elizabeth Karl Kneib. She graduated from Easton High School and in 1941 graduated from the St. Joseph (MO) Hospital School of Nursing. She and her sister Patricia then moved to Kansas City, followed in 1946 by parents and siblings.In her lifes nursing she worked in several Kansas City hospitals, a couple years in Palm Springs, CA, and returning to KC had private duty clients. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Patricia ONeill, Mary Louise Potter and Elizabeth Ann Waggoner, and by two brothers James Bernard Kneib and Vincent Kneib. She is survived by siblings Marita Barrack, Dennis Kneib, Bonnie Morgan of Kansas City and Delores Spellman of Sun City West, AZ and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.Anyone who knew Ellen in her nursing capacity had only the highest praise for her dedication and her utmost concern for those in her care. Services scheduled are as follows: Tuesday evening, January 9, 5-7 p.m. visitation at Muehlebach Funeral Home, 6800 Troost Ave. Kansas City, MO, with rosary at 7:00; and funeral Mass 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 10 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Ellen would appreciate memorial contributions to Catholic Community Hospice or Our Lady of Perpetual Help (Redemptorist) Catholic Church, KCMO.
