Donna M. Perez

Donna M. Perez passed away on January 25, 2022. Donna was born July 18, 1946 into a boisterous, loving Italian family. She attended Catholic school in Missouri and met the love of her life, Alfredo (Fred) Perez in 1965. Love bloomed with daily letters sent from Fred in Vietnam to Donna in Missouri. Shortly after Fred's return stateside he and Donna married and settled down in Missouri and later moved to Prairie Village. Donna and Fred were blessed to have fifty plus years together. Donna was a devoted wife and mother (Albert and David). She loved her boys! Donna not only excelled in her home life but also in her career at Treasury Drug. While attending to her beloved customers she met her best friend, Ginny. Together they bonded over monthly girls' night outs and eventually welcomed other "girls" into their monthly homemakers club. The Homemakers shared many dinners, good times, and laughs over the decades.
Though Donna was an only child she considered Fred's brothers and sisters hers. Together they had many adventures rafting, picnicking, and just enjoying each other and their families in Arkansas, Pennsylvania, and Missouri. It was always a good time when the Perez clan was together.
Some of her most precious moments were with her two grandsons, Carter and Sawyer. Grandma was the world to those boys and she spoiled those boys with love and affection at every opportunity. Though the grandkids lived in NC she would call and text the boys regularly. As the boys grew the conversations would center around her beloved Chiefs and Royals. Donna loved the Kansas sport teams. Donna was their greatest sports fan.
Donna had many loves in her life in addition to her immediate and extended family. Her adored cats, Suzy, Theo, and Sam were often considered the "favorite kids."
Donna leaves behind her husband, Fred, two sons, Albert (wife Gloria) and David, two grandsons, Carter and Sawyer.
A Visitation will be held for Donna on February 1, 2022 at Muehlebach Funeral Home located at 6800 Troost Avenue, Kansas City, Missouri 66141 from 11:30 am - 1:00 pm. Immediately following the Visitation will be a prayer service.
