Donald B. Hiltner

Donald B. Hiltner, 80, passed away July 1, 2019. Visitation will be Monday, July 8 from 8:30 9:30 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at Redemptorist Catholic Church 3333 Broadway Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64111. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Catholic Charities of Kansas City - St. Joseph.

Donald was born August 21, 1938, in Kansas City, MO, to Daniel and Catherine Hiltner. He attended St. Elizabeth grade school then went on to Hogan High School where he lettered in all sports, football, basketball, baseball, and track. He went on to become a fireman for the Kansas City Fire Department, retiring after 30 years in 1994. He was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Parish and an officer in their Holy Name Society. He then became a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish where he was an active member in the Ancient Order of Hibernians.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents, his sons, Daniel James Hiltner, John Joseph and infant daughter, Stephanie Marie Hiltner. He is survived by his sons, Patrick Michael, and Timothy Brian, his daughters, Mary Catherine and Bernadette Anne, a brother, Richard Eugene, and a sister, Kathleen Elizabeth.
