Dana Youngs Mceachen

Dana Youngs McEachen, 42, of Overland Park, KS passed away November 16, 2021. Funeral services will be at 1:30 pm on Tuesday, November 30 at the Village Presbyterian Church in Prairie Village, Kansas.
Dana was born June 29, 1979 in Kansas City, Missouri to Phil and Leslie Youngs. She was a 1997 graduate of Blue Valley North High School, where she was active in choir, band, cheerleading, and softball. Upon graduating, she attended William Jewell College, where she was active in the Delta Zeta sorority, the Pryor Leadership Program, choir and cheerleading. Following graduation, she enjoyed singing with the Kansas City Symphony Chorus.
On December 2, 2006, she married Neil McEachen at Jacobs Well Church.
She was a dedicated and devoted wife and mother to her two children. She had a remarkable ability to make connections and bring people together. Her smile and laugh was infectious, as many of her friends and colleagues will attest.
Professionally, she worked for several years at Microsoft in sales, and she took great pride in the friendships gained there as well as her on the job success. She earned "Gold Club" for outstanding sales on three different occasions.
She was preceded in death by her brother Brian, her grandparents Luther and Florence Youngs and Glenn and Francine Hunter, her Aunt Nancy and Uncle Roger, and cousins Brad and Jody.
Dana is survived by her husband Neil, her two children, Nina and Hunter, and her parents, Phil and Leslie Youngs. She will be missed by other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Childrens Mercy Hospital, whose staff took such incredible care of Nina upon many complications related to her premature birth. While Dana contributed to many charities, in recent years, she led fundraising efforts at Microsoft to benefit Childrens Mercy.
