Christopher M. Butler

Christopher M. Butler, 52, passed away on March 3, 2019. There will be a mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am Sat March 9th at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 4101 E 105 Terr KCMO. Burial will be at Mt Olivet Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Bozhena; father, Jack; brother and sister-in-law, Jeffry and Robyn Butler; sister and brother-in-law, Katie and Dean Gray; nieces and nephews, Lily, Owen and Alaina Gray, Michaela, Ethan and Jason Butler. He was preceded in death by mother, Ellen A. Butler.
Chris attended grade school at Immaculate Conception Catholic School in Jefferson City, MO and was a member of the 1984 graduating class of Olathe South Senior High School in Olathe, KS. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Kansas, where he was also a member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity. He had a Master of Business Administration from Baker University, and a Master of Arts in Economics from the University of Missouri at Kansas City.
Chris was a partner in the financial investment firm Butler, Lanz, and Wagler and could be heard regularly on local radio discussing economic/financial matters. He also hosted the Free Market Underground radio show on Saturday mornings.
He was seeking his Ph. D. in Economics from the University of Missouri at Columbia, MO.
