Charles Britton Marble

Charles Britton Marble, age 90, of Silverton, Oregon, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2018. A Visitation will be held at 5pm with the Rosary prayed at 6pm on Monday, June 25th at Muehlebach Funeral Care, 6800 Troost Avenue, Kansas City, Missouri 64131. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10am on Tuesday, June 26th at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 3106 Flora Avenue, Kansas City, Missouri 64109. Interment following at Slater City Cemetery in Slater, Missouri. Charles was born in Kansas City, Missouri on September 3, 1927 to Herbert T. and Maude A. (Howard) Marble. Charles was raised Roman Catholic and spent most of his life in (Fairmount) Independence, Missouri. He moved with his mother to Slater, Missouri in 1972. After his mothers death in 1985, he moved to Oregon to live with his sister, Sue. He attended the traditional Tridentine Latin Mass at Saint Pius X Chapel in the Silverton Hills. Charles was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Herbert Howard Marble of Lawson, Missouri; sisters, Elizabeth Jean Langford of Ashland, Nebraska, and Rose Marie Starks of Grand Prairie, Texas; nephews, Scott Marble, Alan Starks, and Kevin Langford; and niece, Janet McComas.He is survived by his brothers, Francis Russel Marble and wife Carlene of Independence, Missouri, and Harry Michael Marble of Grand Prairie, Texas; sisters, Patricia Dena Owens of Sedalia, Missouri, and Margaret Suzanna Lowe-Mulkey of Silverton, Oregon; as well as many nieces and nephews.
