Catherine Eileen Sullivan

Catherine Eileen Sullivan, aka Sister Mary Michaelina, B.V.M., 1944-1951, age 94, died Sunday, August 5. She was a lifelong resident of Kansas City MO and a faithful member and steward of St. Aloysius Parish. She graduated from St. Aloysius Academy and Clarke College, Dubuque, Iowa. The daughter of Michael C. and Ella P. Sullivan, (both deceased), sister of Tom (Kay) Sullivan (both deceased), sister of Peggy Sullivan of Chicago, and aunt of Eileen Sullivan (Ron) Grebowiec of Kansas City, Missouri. She had numerous cousins throughout the U.S.
In recent years, Eileen was a resident of Sweet Springs Villa in Sweet Springs, Missouri, and died there. The family appreciates the care which she received there from numerous staff and volunteers. Her career included work as a teacher and office assistant. Her talents in art, music, and writing also enhanced her volunteer work for various church- and charity-related agencies. Memorial contributions may be made to Clarke College. 1555 Clarke Drive, Dubuque, IA 52001.
There will be visitation before a funeral service at St. Francis Xavier Church on Monday, August 13, from 9:30 AM to 10:00AM. and the service will follow at 10:00 AM.
Burial will be in a private service at Mt. Olivet Cemetery later that day.
