Carolyn Kay Dierks, 80, passed away on September 26, 2025, in Kansas City, Missouri. Born on July 15, 1945, in Battlefield, Michigan, Carolyn's journey was marked by her unwavering kindness and welcoming nature, qualities that attracted everyone she met to her.

Carolyn loved her role as a stay-at-home wife and mother, finding joy and fulfillment in creating a nurturing home for her family. She was known for her ability to connect with others effortlessly; often engaging in lively conversations with strangers. She had a remarkable talent for drawing out personal stories within minutes. Her calming nature made those around her feel at ease.

Her adventures led her to live in London with her husband, David Dierks, and her son, Michael Dierks. Carolyn fondly reminisced about those days, especially the moments spent walking Michael and his friends to school, stopping for coffee and scones once she knew they made it safely inside. The streets of London held a special place in her heart, and she often dreamt of returning one day.

In addition to her love for family and travel, Carolyn was passionate about crafting and collecting. She found joy in making Christmas ornaments and had a keen eye for beautiful blue and white dishes and platters, crosses, and scarves, which reflected her artistic side.

Carolyn's military service in the Coast Guard for six years instilled in her a sense of discipline and dedication that carried through her life. She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, William Raymond Connor and Stella Mae Connor, whose teachings and values were seen through Carolyn's actions.

Carolyn is survived by her husband, David Dierks, and her son, Michael Dierks. Her legacy of love, kindness, and an unparalleled ability to connect with people will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know her.
