Carol Ann Schlitzer

Carol Schlitzer, 78, passed away January 7, 2020, at her home surrounded by her family. A rosary will be prayed on Tuesday, January 14 at 5:30 pm followed by visitation until 8 pm at St. Catherine of Siena Parish, 4101 E 105th Ter., KCMO 64137. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday January 15 at 10:30 am at the Church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Childrens Mercy Hospital Kansas City or Alzheimer's Association.
Carol was born December 11, 1941 in Kansas City, MO to Albert and Rose Anch. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Ben Anch, and Carl Anch. She is survived by her sister, Anita Tucker (Danny) and brother, Mike Anch, her children; Jeff Schlitzer (Paige), Kevin Schlitzer (Michelle), Eric Schlitzer (Carla), Paula Farris (Matt), Diana Smith (Aaron), and Michael Schlitzer (Angie), 19 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren with 2 more on the way.
Affectionately known as "Momo" to her kids, grandkids, and many of the friends and family she entertained and loved, Carol was the matriarch of her family. A true Christian role model who showed us how to love and laugh and dance and live to the fullest. She was a wonderful mother, attentive homemaker and gracious hostess. She was the fill-in babysitter, substitute mother, and warm friend who never met a stranger. Momos smile was never brighter than when she was surrounded by children.
Most importantly, Carol was the loving wife and soul mate of over 59 years to her husband Paul, who devotedly cared for her during her final months. No words, no feelings were left unspoken. Together they built a dynasty of love and created a family that will never forget the newest angel and hostess of heaven - their beloved Momo.
