Carey Lynn Wawrzyniak

Carey Wawrzyniak, 70, of Raytown, Missouri passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, January 25, 2022.
Carey was born October 16, 1951 in Kansas City, Missouri to Manuel and Elma Blando. After completing high school at Archbishop OHara, she studied at Longview Community College. Carey was a dental assistant for many years.
In 1991 Carey met the love of her life Roger Wawrzyniak. They married March 1, 1993 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Throughout the years she and Roger adopted many rescue dogs and cats.
Besides caring for her fur babies, Carey enjoyed crocheting. She made hundreds of crocheted hats and donated them to the children at Operation Breakthrough https://operationbreakthrough.org/,St Lukes Cancer Center and Childrens Mercy Hospital.
Carey thoroughly enjoyed playing cards, in particular the game of Spades. She also loved jewelry, especially rings and bracelets.
Being born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri shes always been an avid Royals and Chiefs fan.
As an act of kindness, Carey was an organ donor.
Carey was full of love for all Gods creations. She left a positive impact and will forever be missed.

Carey is survived by her husband and soul mate, Roger, and her three loving rescue dogs, Gracie Allen, Gizmo and Samantha Lynn; as well as her niece Melanie Woolen of Riverside, California, (Carey and Melanie enjoyed many vacations together and had planned an upcoming trip to California), nephew, Anthony Blando, Lake Lotawana, Missouri, plus many other nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.
Carey was preceded in death by her parents and loving brother, Joseph A. Blando of Raytown, Missouri.

Visitation will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Muehlebach Funeral Care, 6800 Troost Avenue, KcMo. Memorial service to follow at 2:00 p.m.
