It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Camille Ann Lewis Moriarty Fowler, a cherished daughter, mother, grandmother, and friend. Camille was a beloved daughter, mother and friend. Camille was known for her generosity and kind spirit. She left us at the age of 82, just shy of her 83rd birthday. She was in Hospice Care in Jacksonville, FL.
Camille was born in Kansas City, KS on November 16, 1942. As the only daughter of Charlie and Ann Kern Lewis, she was loved and cherished throughout her childhood. She is survived by her son Woody and his wife, Sara, and by her daughter, Mary Ann Thomason. She leaves behind four grandchildren: Nicole Thomason, Megan Moriarty, Alison Moriarty, and Matthew Moriarty. Camille was preceded in death by her parents and her son Charlie Lewis Moriarty. Family was very important to Camille. She loved her children and grandchildren.
Camille was so full of happiness and warmth to everyone she met. Dancing and reading were two of her favorite hobbies. Her green thumb was well adored by her neighbors and passed on to her children and grandchildren. Her lavish dinner parties were a joy to attend. Cooking for her family and her friends brought her so much joy. She was known for her delicious lasagna. She was a wonderful seamstress and loved making clothes and costumes for herself and grandchildren. Interior design was another of her talents. Her homes were always welcoming and ready for guests. She enjoyed travelling and loved learning about the culture and lifestyles of the places she travelled and lived. Though she lived in Florida and Colorado, Kansas City, Kansas was her favorite place in the world. She loved her childhood and stayed close, in Roeland Park, Kansas, to raise her family. Her heart has always been there, and she will be laid to rest there as well. Her spirit of generosity, creativity, and love will live on in all who knew her.
