BURNETTA (BERNIE) BARBIERI
Burnetta (Bernie) Barbieri, 83, of Lees Summit, MO joined our Lord on December 16, 2017 at John Knox Village. Bernie was a volunteer with various church and community organizations. She enjoyed sewing, traveling, entertaining, and made her home the hub of many family gatherings.
The visitation will be 9am Friday, December 22, 2017 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1800 MO-150, Lee's Summit, MO 64082, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10am. Graveside services following at Mt Olivet Cemetery.
Bernie was the daughter of Osby & Marie Johnston. Bernie is survived by her husband of 59 years, Paul Barbieri; daughter Paula (Bill) Barton, Columbia, MO; son Bill (Kara) Barbieri, Olathe, KS; grandchildren Michelle (Mike) Aucoin, Middleborough, MA; Chris (Amber) Barton, Columbia, MO; Alex Barbieri, Kansas City, MO and Reed Barbieri, Olathe, KS. She had 5 great grandchildren and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She is proceeded in death by her parents, brothers, Joe and John Johnston, and sister Geraldine Walton. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Lees Summit, or John Knox Memory Care.
