Brynlee Renae Hastings, infant daughter of Joe and Jenna Hastings, passed peacefully from the arms of her parents into the loving arms of Jesus on Wednesday, November 18, 2020, at Le Bonheur Childrens Hospital in Memphis, TN. A private Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, December 1st at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church and interment at Calvary Cemetery.
Brynlee was born on September 12, 2020, in Oxford, MS after an active and joy filled pregnancy during which her family eagerly awaited meeting her. She was a happy, calm and easy going baby with a constant, vibrant smile. She loved interacting with her parents, listening to them talk and often held their gaze in a way that created a deep and abiding trust. In these precious moments of bonding with her parents, Joe and Jenna felt that Brynlee looked deep into their souls and understood their love for her. She had just begun to babble and delighted in "gooing" when she was excited and as she watched her big sister, Addison play. The evenings brought quiet and peaceful moments as Jenna gently scooped her up for feedings while whispering "my little angel". The family would like to express their sincere and heartfelt gratitude for the prayers that surrounded Brynlee prior to her death. While their prayer for a life saving miracle was not fulfilled, miracles still abounded. Following her baptism at Le Bonheur, Brynlee was warm and safe in the arms of her parents as she moved from her earthly home into Heaven. Their final moments together as a family are a testament to the power of prayer and they remain grateful for this simple miracle of time. In addition to her parents and sister, Brynlee is survived by her grandparents, Stephanie and Jack Miller of Wichita, KS, John and Glenda Hastings of Wichita, KS and John and Anita Clary of Topeka, KS; aunts and uncles, Andy Hastings of Wichita, KS, Erin and Dan Schiedermayer of Madison, WI, Emily and Evan VanBecelaere of Eugene, OR, Anna and Taylor Dietz of Lawrence, KS, John and Candra Clary of Amarillo, TX, Tiffany and Tracy Honea of Amarillo, TX and Jennifer and Jeremy Cantrell of Amarillo, TX as well as a host of loving cousins. Memorial contributions in Brynlees memory may be made to Le Bonheur Childrens Hospital via their website at https://www.lebonheur.org/.
