Bonnie Jean Richard, 87, of Leawood, Kansas passed away peacefully on October 14, 2020 surrounded by her loving family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Verna Severson, and her beloved son David Roberts.
She is survived by her husband Joe Richard, her brothers Stanley Jr. and Steve, her sisters Dixie and Sue, her sons James, Stanley, John, and Victor, and her three daughters, Darcy, Lesa and Linda.
Bonnie was born in Dovray, MN and grew up in the farming community of Westbrook, MN. She attended Westbrook Elementary and High School. After attending secretarial college in Minneapolis, she was employed as a legal secretary in New York City and Kansas City.
Her greatest joys in life were around faith and family. She spent hours with her Lord reading His Word, and made sure to share her passion with her family. Her smile was broadest when she was spending time with any one of her 8 children, 15 grandchildren or 9 great grandchildren.
She loved to garden, enjoyed tennis (an avid player even in her later years) and a good game of 500 with friends.
