Bette Bright Harrod

Bette Bright Harrod, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2017 at Kingswood Manor. She was born in Waverly, Kansas to Forrest and Carolyn (Baker) Bright. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Leland J. Thomas and her second husband, Douglas E. Harrod. She is survived by her daughter, Jayme T. (Ted) Heckman and her son, Dr. Timothy R. (Lorrie) Thomas, eight grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held in the chapel at Muehlebach Funeral Home on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at 3 p.m. with Chaplain Kathleen Danforth presiding. Bette was passionate about animals, so contributions would be suggested to any pet rescue organization of your choosing in her honor.
