Bernard Campbell

Bernard "Bernie" J. Campbell of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away June 12, 2022 peacefully at his home with family by his side.

Born to Daniel and Catherine (Cain) Campbell, he was a life-long resident of Kansas City, MO. He attended Saint Elizabeth Catholic Grade School, Bishop Hogan High School, and Rockhurst College. He was a member and Grand Knight of the Archbishop OHara Knights of Columbus Council.
As a Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War, MSGT Campbell served his country for over 20 years. Bernie retired from St. Lukes Hospital in 1996. He started volunteering at St. Luke's 3 days later in the Information Services department until 2018.


Bernie was preceded in death by; his first wife Delores in 1963, grandson Cyle Russell in 1983, sister Mary Kathryn Quirk in 2004, son-in-law Joe Soloducha in 2021 and grandson Andy Soloducha in 2022

He is survived by his wife, Beverly J. Campbell, children; Mary Jo Campbell, Cecilia Campbell, Daniel (Anne) Campbell, Bernie (Craig) Russell, Kathy Soloducha, Angela Pine, Connie (Dan) Biondo, James Campbell, Pete (Cara) Campbell. his 23 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church.
