Avery Grace Meyer

Avery Grace Meyer, 6 months, passed away on May 11, 2018 at Childrens Mercy Hospital in Kansas City. All services will be held at Our Lady of the Presentation Parish, 130 NW Murray Road, Lees Summit, Missouri 64081. Visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m. with Funeral Service following at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 19th. The burial will be held at Floral Hills East Memorial Gardens in Lees Summit. Avery was born on November 12, 2017 in Lees Summit to her loving parents, Justin Meyer and Courtney (Bowles) Meyer. She was the youngest of three children, having a sister and brother, Faith (7) and Benaiah (4). Avery entered this world with a fighting spirit and went to heaven with one too. She spent 5 days in the NICU before coming home and was such a tremendous blessing to all who crossed her path. She had an internal joy and smile that would just stop you in your tracks. Avery was planning on going to Boston for heart surgery at the end of April, and 3 days before leaving came down with a virus which led to major complications in the Hospital which she was unable to recover from. At 4:21pm on May 11th, Avery went from the arms of her parents to the arms of Jesus. Today she dances in heaven with other family members who have gone before her. She is survived by her parents, Justin and Courtney; siblings, Faith and Benaiah; grandmother, "Honee" Patti Bowles; grandparents, "Opa and Oma" Jeff and Donna Meyer; aunts and uncles, Stephanie and John Lones, Jacob and Britney Meyer, Adam Meyer, and Mike and Whitney Carroll; cousins, Reese and Addyson Lones; as well as many loving family and friends.
