Arthur Adams Macy, Sr., beloved husband, father, and grandfather, peacefully passed away on September 26, 2024 in Kansas City, Missouri, with his son, Arthur Macy, Jr., by his side. Born on July 22, 1930, in Boston, Massachusetts, Arthur lived life the way he wanted and always found time to have some fun.
Throughout his professional journey, Arthur excelled in various roles as a salesman and later as a General Manager for several plastics companies. His contributions to the industry were significant, and he earned respect and admiration from colleagues and clients alike.
Arthur’s dedication to personal development was evident in his pursuit of education. He earned a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Northwestern University, which laid the foundation for his successful career.
His patriotism and service to the nation were showcased during his time in the Marines, where he served honorably during the Korean War.
A lover of sports, Arthur found joy in watching various games, be it football or baseball, cheering for any team that took to the field. He equally cherished moments spent with family, particularly dining at his and his late wife Geraldine’s favorite restaurants, relishing in the company of loved ones.
Arthur is preceded in death by his father, John M. Macy; mother, Doris Macy; son, John Macy; and wife, Geraldine Macy. He is survived by his son, Arthur Macy, Jr., and his family.
A Visitation will be held on September 30, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Muehlebach Funeral Care, 6800 Troost Ave., Kansas City, MO 64131. Following the Visitation, a burial service will take place at Meadville Cemetery in Meadville, MO, around 2:00 PM.
