In Loving Memory of Antonio “The Lito” Florido

Antonio Florido, lovingly known by his family as “The Lito,” passed away surrounded by the warmth of the family who meant everything to him. Born in Guanajuato, Mexico, Antonio lived a life defined by hard work, devotion, laughter, and an immeasurable love for his family.

Antonio was a welder by trade and took great pride in his work. He worked hard throughout his life to provide a good life for his loved ones and continued in this craft until he retired.

But more than anything he accomplished in his career, Antonio’s greatest accomplishment was his family. His family was his greatest treasure, and everyone who knew him could see just how deeply he cherished them.

Antonio was gracious, giving, funny, caring, intelligent, knowledgeable, quick-witted, dedicated, and loyal. He had a way of making people feel welcome and loved. He was always ready for a good conversation, always willing to listen, and never missed an opportunity to bring a smile to someone’s face. When visitors arrived, his enthusiasm was contagious. He welcomed people warmly and could talk to just about anyone.

He was also a man who fiercely protected his family and was always willing to offer advice, wisdom, or simply a listening ear.

Antonio had many things he loved. He had a lifelong passion for soccer, and it was one of the things that brought him so much joy. He enjoyed playing guitar, singing, doing word searches and Sudoku, and most of all, spending time with the people he treasured. His adoration of soccer was nearly as legendary as his love for his family.

Among his proudest accomplishments were becoming a United States citizen and quitting smoking - milestones that reflected his strength, determination, and commitment to a better life.

Antonio is survived by his daughters Maria Pinon, Sylvia Florido, Angelique Florido McCarthy, Anna M. Fabac, and Lorena (Tim) Waller, as well as his 15 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren, who will carry his heart and memory with them for generations to come.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Rose Florido, and relatives Lydia Silva, Felipe Florido, Victoria Florido, and Maria Valadez.

Antonio leaves behind far more than memories. He leaves behind the lessons he taught, the laughter he shared, the stories he told, the advice he gave, and the love he poured into his family.

He will be remembered for his welcoming smile, his wonderful conversations, his generous heart, his love of music and soccer, and the way he made the people around him feel like they mattered.

The Lito was deeply adored, and he cherished his family with all his heart. His greatest legacy will always be the family he built and the love that will continue through his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

He will be missed beyond words and remembered with love, laughter, and gratitude - always. ❤️⚽️
