Anne J. Kurtenbach

Anne J. Kurtenbach, age 94, of Kansas City, passed away at Kingswood Manor on July 12, 2018 minutes before her 95th birthday. All services will be held at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, 2 E. 75th St., KCMO on Monday, July 16th. Visitation will begin at 10am, with Mass of Christian Burial following at 11am. Burial held at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.Anne was born on July 13, 1923 in Fairview, NJ to Joseph and Minnie (LaPorte) Mandracchia. Anne spent most of her life in Kansas City. She met the love of her life, Warren J. Kurtenbach, and on November 18, 1950, they began their life together. From their union they had four children, one son and three daughters. Anne and Warren spent 54 happily married years together until his passing in 2004. Anne was a very talented secretary. She worked for medical professionals, city halls, oil companies, and a variety of corporations. In addition to being a hard worker, Anne was also an incredibly selfless person. She always donated her time, whether it be to Kansas City Hospice, KCPT Channel 19, and 30 years to Little Sisters of the Poor. Above all, Anne loved spending time with her family, all of whom will dearly miss her.Anne is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Minnie; a three-year-old sister, Rose Marie; and her loving husband, Warren J. Kurtenbach. She is survived by her daughters, Janice King (Ron) of Kansas City, Ellen Enderle (Michael) of San Antonio, TX, and Susan Kurtenbach of Kansas City; a son, James Kurtenbach (Frances) of Kansas City; her grandchildren, Kimberly Reavis (Brian) of Austin, TX, Jonathan Fournet (Evan) of Marian, TX, and Jason Kurtenbach of Kansas City; her great-grandchildren, Tucker, Mason, and Cooper Reavis of Austin, TX; as well as many beloved friends and family.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Kansas City Hospice and Palliative Care, 1500 Meadow Lake Pkwy #200, KCMO 64114.
