Ann was born June 14, 1947, along with her twin Dan, being the 6th & 7th child of John R. Lillis, Jr. and Mary Edith Lillis Sr.
Being the youngest of the family she was always the adventurer as she scouted out the neighborhood and was game to try new things while enjoying her friends and contacts in Grade School and later at Loretto High School.
Ann Loved her family and the family gatherings while usually gifting people with the many treasures she found while shopping and exploring stores and sales. This brought a joy to her heart as she gave these gifts that brought a smile to their faces. Learning about other people and their experiences was something she enjoyed as she went on to meet all kinds of new people. They all loved Ann and the interest she took in them.
After finishing school, Ann worked in several places like Kansas City, the Ozarks, Florida, and spent her longest time in Colorado. She enjoyed her career in the food industry where she again connected with so many individuals as she was so outgoing and charismatic and found so many friends wherever she went.
Ann returned to Kansas City to be with family. She later was faced with a variety of health issues and spent the majority of her last years at Bishop Spencer Place. Even through setbacks and medical treatments, she was one of the most active residents, participating in all the activities and was a friend to all. Her kindness and smiles were contagious, and she was loved by the residents as well as the staff. She was a bright light at Bishop Spencer Place.
She is preceded in death by her parents, along with Mary Edith Lillis, Jr., John Robert Lillis, Jr., Sheila Lyons, Thomas Michael, Janet Lillis, Judy Lillis, and nephews; Timothy P. Lillis and John M. Lillis.
She is survived by Lawrence Lillis (Patricia), Daniel F. Lillis and nieces and nephews; Patrick Lyons (Gail), Catherine Geary (Kasey), Ann Lyons, Paul Lyons (Kimberly), Carol A. Lillis, Sheila M. Lillis, Cathleen M. Lillis, Gretchen Gafrick (Steven), Scott Lillis & Jean Gorton, as well as great nieces and nephews.
