Amy D. Shaffer, 45, passed away suddenly Feb 13, 2018. Private services are scheduled under the direction of Muehlebach Funeral Care, Kansas City, MO. Interment will be at Greenlawn North Cemetery, Springfield, MO. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to the Amy D. Shaffer Childrens memorial fund, c/o Muehlebach Funeral Care, 6800 Troost Ave, Kansas City, MO 64131.Amy was born January 14, 1973 in Springfield, MO to Steve and Linda Shaffer. After receiving a Bachelors Degree at University of St. Mary in Leavenworth, Kansas, Amy was currently working on her Masters Degree. Amys one true devotion in her life was helping others in need. She worked as a social worker for Truman Medical Center in Kansas City, MO. and held numerous positions throughout her career aiding others through social work. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Jonathan and Marjorie Shaffer; grandfather, Harold Coleman. Amy is survived by her children, Luke and Grace Hair; parents, Steve and Linda Shaffer of Springfield, MO; a sister, Stephanie Buhrmeister; grandmother, Anna Coleman; niece, Katie Buhrmeister and nephew, Charlie Buhrmeister and many loving extended family members.
