DAVID ALEXANDER "ALEX" JENNYAlex Jenny, 29, of Kansas City, MO, passed away April 26, 2018. In accordance with his wishes he was an organ donor and was cremated. A memorial service to celebrate and honor his life will be held on Saturday, May 19 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 6401 Wornall Terrace, Kansas City, MO 64113.Alex was born on September 19, 1988 to Arthur B. and Frances Luehrman Jenny in St. Louis, Missouri. He grew up in Kansas City and was a graduate of The Pembroke Hill School. He attended Arizona State University where he studied biology and history and was a graduate of Augsburg University in Minneapolis with a degree in business administration and economics. He was a member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Kansas City.He was loaned to us for such a short time, but in that brief season he brought us joy. He was kind, funny, wise, observant, sensitive, perceptive and had a strong moral compass. He loved reading, learning, history, running, summers at the ABarA Ranch, sailing in the Virgin Islands, movies with his family, long talks with his brother Drew, and time with his friends. He was fiercely independent and had deep courage and resolve as shown by his achievements of the last five years. We take comfort in knowing he is at peace and with God.He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ellen Kell Luehrman, Elizabeth Foster Jenny, and Arthur B. Jenny Sr. His memory will be cherished by his grandfather Kenneth Luehrman, St. Louis, MO; his parents Fran and Art Jenny; his brother Andrew K. Jenny; his sister Sarah Jenny Holmes and her husband Riley of Santa Fe, NM; his brother Michael B. Jenny and his wife Laura, their children Meredith and Will, of Chicago, IL; his aunt and uncle Deborah Luehrman Klayman and Michael Klayman of St. Louis, MO; and many other relatives and dear friends.A second Memorial Service will be held in St. Louis, MO at a future date.
