She was a charter member of Ladies of Charity of Kansas City, an avid bridge player and a regular volunteer for Seton Center. She traveled throughout the United States and Mexico and enjoyed many trips to Europe. She was very proud of her Irish heritage but also loved to use her second language, Spanish, in her travels.

She is survived by her two wonderful daughters, Barbara Cooke (Sidney) and Kate Brown (Glenn); five grandchildren: Matt Pryor (Christine Kosirog), Abbie Brown (Justin Giles), Christopher Pryor, Colleen Brown (Joe Litwiller) and Sean Brown (Lisa Hoyer); four great grandchildren: Lily, Elliott and Jerzy Pryor and Ben Giles; her dear sisters Jean Maupin and Kathleen Drummond; and many loving nieces and nephews.
