George Robert Hamilton

George Robert Hamilton, 58 years old, of Kansas City, MO, passed away at his home on March 13, 2017, after an on-going battle with cancer. George was born on December 28, 1958, in Leavenworth, KS, to Edward and Edith (Burrell) Hamilton.
George was known as a free spirit. He left high school to hitch-hike across the United States, where he experienced life the way he wanted to: freely. He was a very proud American, and loved his country dearly. George also loved dogs. He had many beloved four-legged companions in his life, including Jasmine, Mutt, Lucky, Lexis, Abby, Mac and Mary Jane.
George was the go-to guy if you ever needed a hand; he was always willing to help out a friend. He found friendship to be a very important aspect of his life. George made it a priority to always be there for the ones he cared for, no matter what they needed. If George wasnt out helping a friend, he was found fishing anywhere he could. He enjoyed the outdoors and found peace in casting out a line.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Edith; a baby sister, Peggy; and another sister, Janet Strawhacker. George is survived by his daughters, Danielle Marie Hamilton of Coronado, CA, Amanda Lynn Hamilton of Sallisaw, OK; and son, Bradley Wayne Hamilton of Sallisaw, OK; his best friend and sister, Kathy Davidson; another sister, Jimmy Jones-Shipman; brothers, Gary Hamilton and Eddie Hamilton; nephews, John Hamilton and Robert Davidson; niece, April Hamilton; and many more dear family members and friends.
George found Christ later in his life, and built an ever-lasting relationship with Him. We are at peace knowing that he has entered into the loving arms of God.
