William K. Bailey, affectionately known as Pappu by his grandkids, passed away July 16, 2021. Bill was born February 9, 1958 in St. Joseph, MO to Bernard and Virginia Bailey. The only son and youngest of five, Bill enjoyed a wonderful childhood. He was passionately loyal to his Alma Mater, MU, pledged Phi Kappa Psi, received his B.S., and bled black and gold. Both MU and the Chiefs have lost their number one fan. Bill swept Martha off of her feet with his incredible sense of humor, kind heart, and of course, love of sports. He affectionately called her "Hen". He was a master of grilling and smoking. He loved playing and watching golf. Bill touched so many lives with his infectious smile. He served his family and friends with a heart as big as his stature and his larger than life personality.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Jean. Survivors include his wife, Martha J.; a daughter, Kara, son-in-law, Keith; sons, Nick, daughter-in-law, Katie; Tom; Tim; eight grandchildren; sisters, Mary, Patricia, husband Brad, and Marge, husband Gary; brother-in-law, Steve; nephews Andy; Michael
