Allen M. Gentry

Allen M. Gentry, 67, of Independence, MO, passed away October 13, 2014. Visitation will be 10:00-11:30 AM Saturday, October 18th at Blue Ridge Blvd Christian Church, 3625 Blue Ridge Blvd., Independence, MO; followed by the funeral service at 11:30 AM. Interment will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, Kansas City, MO.

Allen was born March 10, 1947 in Kansas City, KS. He was a member of the Boy Scouts of America and achieved Eagle Scout. He was also a member of the Tribe of Mic-O-Say. He was also a member of the International Supreme Council of the Order of DeMolay. Allen received his architectural degree from the University of Kansas and was a partner with WGN Associates, Inc.

He was preceded in death by his father, Churchill H. Gentry; and brother, Gary Gentry. Allen is survived by his mother, Marjorie Dryer; brother, Don Gentry and wife Jackie; sons, Shawn Gentry and wife Joni, Craig Gentry and wife Rochelle, Stephen Gentry and wife Denise, and Christopher Gentry and wife Michelle; grandchildren, Raychel and husband Bryce, Ally, Caitlin, Allen, Curren, Raya, Savannah, Nicholas, Breanna, Veronica and Krista; great grandchildren, Brynnlee, Abryenne, Graycelynn; nieces, Lola, Sara, Dona and Gina; and a nephew, Gary.
